Masilin is a Post-Doctoral research fellow at North Carolina State University. She graduated with a PhD in Atmospheric Sciences at North Carolina State University in 2016, her work involved investigating the impact of rapid urbanization on the climate of East Africa. Her current research in HyCRISTAL project is mainly focused on the lake-atmosphere coupling and to a lesser extent on the impact of urbanization on the regional Climate. This work is carried out using two Regional Climate models that is the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) and the ICTP Regional Climate model.
