Role: Early Career Researcher
Dr. Lulu van Rooyen (née Pretorius) holds a BSc. in Environmental Science; a B.Sc. (Hons) in Plant Science and an MSc. and Ph.D. in Environmental Management. Her post-graduate studies are related to wetland ecology. Lulu has worked as an environmental and ecological consultant, for environmental companies as well as in a freelance capacity. She is currently employed at the University of KwaZulu-Natal to act as an embedded researcher as part of the Durban Research Action Partnership (D’RAP); where she is to develop and implement a long-term biodiversity monitoring program.
