Role: Researcher
Feyera is a postdoctoral researcher at the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC). His primary duty is to test and improve the Global Flood Awareness System (GloFAS) which is used for operational streamflow forecasting for major rivers around the world. He also coordinates the Global Flood Service and Toolbox pillar of the Global Flood Partnership. Feyera holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Connecticut. His other research interests include nonlinear dynamics, time series analysis, retrieval algorithms, data mining and machine learning.
