AMMA-2050 will improve understanding of how the West African monsoon will be affected by climate change in the coming decades. This FCFA research team’s findings aim to help West African societies prepare and adapt. In this film, we hear from the international consortium of researchers during the launch event of the West African initiative, held at the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, Wallingford in the UK. The researchers discuss the need for the science and give us insight into what we can expect from the 5-year research programme.
